Annual GLPA Conference
2014 GLPA Conference
The 50th annual GLPA conference in 2014 will be hosted in Muncie, Indiana on the campus of Ball State University October 29 through November 1. The conference will be organized by Ron Kaitchuck (Director), Dayna Thompson (Assistant Director), volunteers and support staff from the Department of Physics and Astronomy. We anticipate making use of both the current 30-foot planetarium and the 52-foot Charles W. Brown planetarium that is scheduled for completion prior to the conference. Most non-dome events and exhibit areas will be located in the nearby L.A. Pittenger Student Center. The Friday-night (Halloween) banquet will be at the University Alumni Center. There will be frequent shuttle bus service between the hotels, the Student Center and the planetariums. The campus area offers theaters, an art museum, and restaurants all within walking distance of the conference site.
